Senior special child care workers visit our school once per week to conduct class observation and assessments, help students with special needs adapt to and fit into the lessons and activities, and give teachers advice on teaching and counselling. Educational psychologists also visit our school when necessary for observations, assessments and offering us advice.
Hong Kong Jockey Club’s “Kindergarten Digitalisation Enhancement Programme” & “Interactive Wonder Box”
In the 2020-2021 school year, we have joined the following two programmes launched by the Hong Kong Jockey Club:
(1) Kindergarten Digitalisation Enhancement Programme
We were awarded a funding of $100,430 from the Hong Kong Jockey Club’s “Kindergarten Digitalisation Enhancement Programme” for purchasing information technology equipment as well as providing training for teachers, so as to equip the school with better teaching equipment, enhance teachers’ knowledge and abilities of using digital technology, support school administration, and strengthen communication between the school and parents.
(2) Jockey Club Interactive Wonder Box
Two boxes of Wonder Box are distributed to every K1 to K3 student for free. Talks and seminars on children’s development and the application of Wonder Box in the classroom and at home are also held for teachers and parents.
The Wonder Box contains a variety of game activities on childhood development, covering the areas of children’s cognitive and language development, physical development, aesthetic development, affective and social development, as well as moral development. It aims to encourage parent-child interaction, enhance parent-child relationship and promote family harmony.
